Path of Exile 2 Currency and Crafting Guide
Understand how Path of Exile 2 currency items are used to upgrade equipment, modify item affixes, and support the player-driven economy. Learn the practical differences between major crafting orbs and when to use them instead of trading them.
Transmutation
An Orb of Transmutation upgrades a normal item to a magic item with one random modifier, providing a basic starting point for equipment crafting.
Regal Orb
A Regal Orb upgrades a magic item to a rare item while adding a random modifier. It is an important step when developing equipment with promising existing affixes.
Exalted Orb
An Exalted Orb adds a random modifier to a rare item that has available modifier space. It can improve valuable equipment but does not guarantee a desirable affix.
Chaos Orb
A Chaos Orb removes one random modifier from a rare item and adds a new random modifier. Its crafting behavior differs from the complete rare-item reroll associated with the original Path of Exile.
Divine Orb
A Divine Orb rerolls the numerical values of existing modifiers without replacing the modifiers themselves. It is useful for refining equipment with desirable affixes.
Currency Exchange
The in-game Currency Exchange allows players to exchange supported currency items through market-driven orders. Exchange rates depend on supply, demand, and league economy conditions.
Path of Exile 2 Skill Gems Guide
Learn how Skill Gems, Support Gems, Spirit Gems, and gem sockets shape character builds in Path of Exile 2. Discover how to obtain and upgrade skills, combine compatible supports, and improve gem capacity for stronger combat setups.
Skill Gems
Active Skill Gems grant combat abilities such as attacks and spells. Uncut Skill Gems can be used to create eligible skills or upgrade existing skills to higher gem levels.
Support Gems
Support Gems modify compatible active skills, changing properties such as damage delivery and combat behavior. The gem system supports up to five Support Gems for an individual active skill.
Spirit Gems
Spirit Gems provide persistent skills and effects that reserve the character's Spirit resource. Available Spirit can depend on character equipment and other progression mechanics.
Jeweller's Orbs
Jeweller's Orbs increase Support Gem socket capacity on eligible Skill Gems. Different orb tiers provide access to higher socket capacities as characters progress.
Uncut Gems
Uncut Skill Gems and Uncut Spirit Gems can be obtained through combat rewards and other in-game sources. Their acquisition is an important part of character progression and build development.
